2023 Is a Shifting Year for the Body of Christ!
1 Thessalonians 1:5-6 (TPT) The Word, The Power, And The Holy Ghost
2022 is leaving us soon and we are stepping into the 2023 season. I was pressing in and sharing on our live broadcast, Morning Fire, that “2023 is the year that’s meant to be”. All of a sudden I had a download from the Holy Ghost into my spirit of what that meant and where God is taking the church in 2023.
I felt the Holy Spirit say, “There is now a shifting going to take place in the body of Christ this year. That is what is meant to be in 2023.” That is why earlier as I was praying I kept praying that 2023 was a year that is meant to be. What does that shifting look like? Let me explain. But first, what a passage of scripture to go right along with this:
“For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.” Thessalonians 1:5-6 (KJV)
As a car drives (with a standard transmission AKA “shifter”), there is a point you must shift the gear from one to the next in order to keep the car moving forward. However, there is another way of driving (for you sports car enthusiasts) in which you down-shift in order to gain acceleration and/or initiate the turbo in your car. Once you do that, get ready! The car will take off like a cheetah going after its prey. You can fly by the person your passing or jump in accelerated MPH in no time. I must say, if you have ever driven a race car, you know it is fun! The wind, the excitement, and the power! I almost felt like Tim “the tool man” Taylor grunting for a moment.
So it is with what God showed me about a shifting in the body of Christ. As you know, there has been a major “sifting” that took place in the natural with the pandemic for the last couple years of 2020-2022. Many churches closed down, complied (rather than ignite), and they never reopened. And for the ones that did, they are barely making it. Why? Because during those times as a body of Christ, we needed to shine and bring the power of the Holy Spirit to the people and see a massive revival in healing, and more. Yet, we did not all stand.
However, this time, this is a “shifting” I am referring to. A positive thing God is doing, for those who will grab a hold of this from God’s word of what we read in Thessalonians at the beginning of this. The “shift” will happen with the combination of the word, the power, and the Holy Ghost. This shift will be the new dimension of the spiritual realm lining up with the natural realm to bring forth the word, the Spirit, and power. The body of Christ shifting to that new dimension will bring massive, and I do mean massive, healings, miracles, signs, and wonders.
You see, for far too long the world has had a predominately negative view of Christianity. They have looked down on us, mocked us, made fun of us, and have never quite taken the church seriously. Why? Because we as a church never operated with the word, power, and the Holy Ghost, at least not recently over the last 100 years. Many, operate in some level of the word, but deny the Holy Ghost. Others had the Holy Ghost, but no power. So of course the world would look at us negatively the way they have for many years, because we were not anything different. However, all of that is about to change.
What once was powerless, will now have power. What once was void of the Holy Ghost, will now see him regularly. What once was limited to “only speaking the word” will now begin to operate differently. God, our Father and creator of all, is shifting the body of Christ (those who are truly his) to receive the new dimension of now operating in all three capacities of the Word, the Power, and The Holy Ghost!
Now, read this passage again. You better get ready!
“For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.” Thessalonians 1:5-6 (KJV - emphasis added)
You see, when we operate in this dimension the Lord is shifting us to, it will cause many to follow us, thus leading them to Jesus. The world would no longer entirely look down on us. NO, they will look up! We will be their examples and move in great anointing!
vs.7, “So that ye were ensamples (examples) to all that believe . . .” (KJV emphasis and parenthesis added for understanding)
I urge you to be a part of this shift in 2023 and become an example. We have to demonstrate Jesus, through the word, the power, and the Holy Ghost. We must! Every believer, everyone who calls on the Lord. We must be demonstrators! How else will the world, those lost and dying, come to a true relationship with Jesus? There is no other way, only his way! The way, the truth, and the life. Why else would Jesus teach us to live this way of life, if it weren’t needed today? That demonstration is operating in the love of Christ!
Think on that and then live that! Make a choice today to let 2023 be the year that is meant to be.
